I’ve been a freelance writer and editor for the past eight years and within that time I’ve talked to a LOT of people. The work I’ve been involved in has been incredibly diverse. For example, I’ve written for and edited a selection of regional lifestyle magazines whilst at the same time “humanising” complex scientific journal articles and techy ebooks. At present I’m writing my first children’s novel which I hope to make into a series. This will be published by the end of the year (fingers crossed!)
I fell into writing accidentally. Several years ago, I started a blog as a way of documenting experiences with my son who has severe learning disabilities. And from this, I began to receive requests to edit or write bits and pieces for other organisations.
Nowadays, I write because I love it. I love the industry and the people I meet. So embrace your inner geek and let’s talk grammar over a coffee one day.
